On this day 15 years ago, she changed my life forever!
A few days before I went to meet Kelsey to see if I wanted to have a share in her, to be the first horse I'd actually shared. But we ended up buying her! when I saw we, my parents bought her for me
She was totally crazy, first time hacking in company (4 days later) she dropped me on the floor, bolted into the woods, then cross a busy A road to take herself back home! This then happened again a couple of years later. How she didn't ki ll me I will never know but I was left in the middle of a few fields on a few occasions haha!
But after about 5 years I moved to a lovely private yard with no other horses in the village, loads of off road hacking and lots of gallop spots! it was then that I realized what an amazing horse I had! I finally started to enjoy riding her and totally trust her! she'd still go a lot faster than I'd like but I worked out that letting her go was the best option, fighting her just made her stronger! we had some amazing rides together
She was retired about 3.5 yrs ago but recently she's had a saddle back on and is finally safe enough to help my 5 yr old niece learn to ride! totally love her!
